Tina Fey honored with Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in D.C.

Comedian Tina Fey, 40 is the youngest recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. Fey received the award at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. on Nov 9. The show was taped by WETA and will be aired nationwide on PBS on Nov. 14.

Fey is the third woman to be honored with the award that was created in 1998.

An A-list of comedians and stars turned out to honor Fey, including but not limited to Fred Armisen, Steve Carell, Jimmy Fallon, Jon Hamm, Jennifer Hudson, Jane Krakowski, Steve Martin, Seth Meyers, Betty White and more.

“All of the other people who received this prize are heroes of mine,” Fey said.

Betty White said Fey could do anything.

Richard Pryor was the first recipient of the award in 1998.

Other recipient include Johnathan Winters (1999), Carl Reiner (2000), Whoopi Goldberg (2001), Bob Newhart (2002), Lily Tomlin (2003), Lorne Michaels (2004), Steve Martin (2005), Neil Simon (2006), Billy Crystal (2007), George Carlin (2008) and Bill Cosby (2009).

T.I. has to stay in GA after released from prison

Rapper T.I. (born Clifford J. Harris, Jr.) started his 11-month jail sentence on Nov. 1. at 12:00 p.m.

Upon release from prison the rapper’s “travel outside of the Northern District of Georgia shall be limited to verified employment within the United States, and shall not exceed seven (7) calendar days per month nor will it exceed seven (7) consecutive days per calendar month.”

Also, the rapper “shall not drive a vehicle during the period of supervised release.”
